I studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin, Platteville. After this,
I worked for a few different companies in Chicago designing things like conveyors and equipment
to test bus seats. While all this was okay, it wasn't exactly thrilling work. Being passionate
about bicycles, I decided to make a career change. First step: Get more experience with bikes.
I packed up, moved to Madison and found employment with the Yellow Jersey, which is by far
one of the best bicycle shops in the Midwest. Working as a mechanic at the store I began to
learn frame repair under the instruction of the store owner and frame builder Andrew Muzi.
After a brief hiatus to work as a bicycle courier in Seattle (hey...sometimes you get tired
of fixing bikes and you just have to ride them) I returned to Madison and the Yellow Jersey to
work as a mechanic and learn frame building with Mr. Muzi. So, here I am.
Sure, I might be the new kid on the block as far as frame builders go, and I don't have all
that many frames out there (yet). But I am confident in what I am doing and I know that I can
make you a great frame that will last forever and ride the way you want it to. I am after all
the only one building the frames so I know if there is a builder error. If there would be an
error in the frame I certainly wouldn't send the frame out (this can't be said for many of the
production frames out there), rather I'd start over as my reputation depends on the frames to
be rock solid. In fact all my frames have a lifetime warranty.
